  • Primary Literacy Academy 2023 - 2024 academic year (before 7:00 am to 8:30 am and after school care 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm not included)

  • We accept children ages 18 months to 5 years old.

    School age - siblings only

  • We are a small facility that focuses on ensuring children get the best care
    in a small one-on-one setting. Therefore our ratios are *under* the state
    ratio guidelines. The max for the school is 45 children.

    The ratios below are for the full capacity of our facility.

    • Pre-k (4-5 yrs old), 2 teachers to 14 Children
    • Preschool (3-4 yrs old), 2 teachers to 12 Children
    • Two's, 2 teachers to 10 children
    • 18 months, 2 teachers to 9 children
  • 7:00 am to 5:30 pm

    Academic Hours

    8:30 am to 3:30 pm

  • We are open Monday through Friday, except on all federal holidays. If the holiday falls on a weekend, we may close on Friday or Monday in accordance with generally accepted holiday schedules.

    We are also closed an extended time during holiday's. Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Independance day.

  • You will be informed of all rates and fees during your tour of the Preschool. 

    • Multiple child discount, 5% off each child’s tuition
    • The following professionals receive 5% off their child’s tuition:
      • Police Officers
      • Firefighters
      • Military Personnel
      • Teachers
      • EMTs
  • Part-time, 3 days per week is avaliable. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

    We also offer Mother's Day out program two days per week, Tuesday and Thursday.

  • Yes, cameras have been installed in every classroom, as well as in our outside play areas.

  • No transportation is provided.

  • At this time, Primary Literacy Academy does not offer transportation to field trips, however, we will have field trip experiences come to Primary Literacy Academy.

  • We encourage family-school collaboration with daily communication. Parents are able to communicate with teachers and the director through instant messaging on our parent portal. Parents will need to download the app and will be provided with sign-in information upon enrollment.

  • Our exclusive Teaching Strategies curriculum provides a evidence and researched-based curriculum that is also used by surrounding school districts. This curriculum paired with the owner/director's 23 years of experience provides children with an outstanding start to their education. Primary Literacy Academy focuses on ensuring children are ready for Kindergarten by building the necessary foundational reading skills that set enrolment at Primary Literacy Academy apart in the industry. Standard/objective-driven learning goals provide teachers with the tools they need to engage children in fun, purposeful activities. Parents are provided with progress reports to ensure they are informed with academic and developmental milestones.

  • Yes. Every classroom has a two designated times to play and explore on their own age-appropriate playground or outdoor classroom.

  • All snacks (breakfast, afternoon) are provided by Primary Literacy Academy. Families must provide a prepared lunch for their child. Weekly snack menus for children are available for review.

  • Our highly qualified staff is required to attend all state-mandated training and are certified in infant, child, adult CPR, and First Aid. They are also required to undergo professional development training throughout each year.

  • Tours are provided during the day by appointment. Tours can be scheduled on the website.

  • Because we are family-owned and operated, we are on-site and actively involved with our staff and families. This allows us to uphold the highest standards and provide unparalleled service for the families in our community.

  • If an emergency occurs such as severe weather, fire, physical damage to the building, or any other situation that poses a threat, you will be notified. The notification process will be given to you upon enrollment.
